Morgan Hayward, Birth Doula

As a doula, my sole purpose is to support you in having a safe and satisfying childbirth as you define it. My primary loyalty is to my client, fostering your autonomy and self-determination to define and achieve a good birth. To the partner, I offer experience with the birth process, modeling support for the birthing person while allowing the partner to participate as he or she feels comfortable.  With this support and emotional care from a doula, the bonds within the new family are strengthened and their likelihood of thriving are enhanced.

Doulas do not provide medical care.  But I do help parents safeguard their birth, their space, their story.  The benefits of such care are so consistent, experts have concluded that, "all laboring women should be provided with continuous labor support.”
